Job Title: Warehouse & Distribution Assistant Manager
Work Location: Malaysia
The Purpose of Role:
You are responsible for warehouse and distribution operational activities to deliver high customer service level at optimum cost. The role will work closely with all functions of the business and build solid partnerships with Third-Party Logistics to deliver end to end efficiencies, savings and growth ambitions.

Your Role/Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse and Distributions
Drive Logistics capabilities and operations efficiency leading to deliver savings and warehousing and transport service levels/loss reduction.
Determine the readiness level of the business the upcoming changes, uncovered readiness gaps and create and implement the action plan.
Provide field support on the transportation, goods acceptance, refusal and return phase.
Inventory Management
Lead the Bi-annual stock counts in the Warehouse.
Manage day-to-day inventory operations in coordination with regional inventory and risk teams.
Proposals for write-off, cycle count stock adjustment.
Attend and take actions as per regional governance call.
Project Management and Continuous Improvement Plan.
Drive warehouse and distribution capabilities via process improvements, standardization of operation, innovation in service and solution, and digitalization.
Drive continuous improvements initiatives to maximize performance, customer satisfaction, value and profit.
Work on special projects related to warehouse and distribution to provide impact on gross margin and cost.
Co-ordinate the with regional team cross-country projects.
Saving Projects Management.
Maintain responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory, regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations, including insurances.
Financial Management
Track and monitor warehouse and distribution spend vs forecast on a weekly/monthly basis.
Track and monitor savings projects and keep the savings reporting system updated.
Impact calculations and analytics based on data.
Third-Party Logistics and Vendor
Negotiate on a daily basis with 3PL on ad -hoc requirements and participate in vendor evaluation and selection process with procurement.
Weekly Meeting with 3PL in regard to operational and customers issues.
Monthly Service Level review (KPI’s).
Ensure 3PL complies with Unilever standards.
Key Stakeholders:
Internal:
Demand & Supply Planning team, Logistics, Customer Development.
External:
3PL Warehouses, 3PL Transporters and industry stakeholders.
Travel:
20-50% of the time for travelling within Malaysia to 3PLs.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistic/Transportation.
Minimum 5 years' work experience specialized in logistics, warehousing or distribution operation.
Experienced in direct-customers, 3PL relationship management and project management.
Data analysis skills.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed people management skills.
Project management skills.
The Hidden Gem in you
Working knowledge in SAP system will be a plus.
Sound knowledgeable and familiar with Lean and Six Sigma.
