Warehouse Operations Supervisor (2nd Shift) - Lockbourne, Ohio

You will have the opportunity to lead the activities of warehouse staff across several functions (Picking, Shipping, Receiving, etc.) in support of customer owned materials including but not limited to medical devices, networking and communications devices, security/ threat detection and related components during a designated shift. You will also have the opportunity to participate as part of the facilities management team, led by the Operations or DC Manager.

What you will get to do:

  • Work closely with internal teams (Inventory Control, Customer Response Center, Account Management, Ops Process & Assurance) to support our inventory goals and objectives for inventory integrity and order fulfillment.
  • Ensures efficient and effective processes are in place for inbound, outbound, and product storage.
  • Ensure accurate and on time delivery to all Flash customers and forward stocking locations in our network – and meet or exceed required KPI’s.
  • Ensure compliance with SOW and SLAs by monitoring daily DC processes.
  • Provide timely and accurate KPI reports in support of customer expectations.
  • Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve processes to ensure effective, accurate and on time material movement, both systemically and physically.
  • Work with Operations or DC Manager to plan, examine, analyze and evaluate DC operations with respect to contractual agreements and supporting procedures, ensuring quality standards, and customer expectations and process requirements are met.
  • Monitors and reports needed warehouse supplies (i.e., boxes, labels, shrink wrap, etc.) to the Operations or DC Manager.
  • Supervises the Control Tower and ensures proper communications and coordination for efficient order transactions.
  • Train new and existing employees on all company and warehouse procedures
  • Supports the Operations or DC Manager as needed.
  • Participates in disciplinary actions and performance reviews.
  • Keeps work areas and warehouse clean on a daily basis.
  • Performs pre and post-shift warehouse walk throughs to ensure facility and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Monitors warehouse for any unsafe areas and takes corrective action as needed. Ensures employees are following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitors RF scanner check-in and checkout program to ensure scanners are in good working condition and available for employee use.

  • Education: Preferred BS degree in industrial technology, logistics, transportation, business management or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible supervision experience in the logistics industry and/or supply management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with WMS and ERP type systems, including RF scanners and carrier shipping systems.
  • Black belt or green belt certification desirable.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
