Shift Hours: 10:00am-6:30pm Monday to Friday.

Job Summary:

  • Provide support to all Warehouse functions (palletizers, robot operator, warehouse operator, warehouse worker, fork truck operators, and leads). The Utility operator will be responsible for covering vacation, STD, extended leaves etc., for all warehouse employees on any and all shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Vacation, STD, and extended leave coverage for all warehouse positions on any and all shifts;
  • Operate All PIT Equipment
    • Walkie, Walkie/Rider, Sit-Down, Hi-Lo Reach
    • Perform basic battery maintenance (check fluid level, proper charging procedures)
    • Change battery when needed
  • Manually Palletize Product
    • Ensure product is in saleable condition
    • Ensure pallets are in acceptable condition for use
    • Utilize proper lifting technique (Bend at knees and carry load close to body)
  • Operate Stretch Wrapping Function
    • Maintain stretch operation with stretch wrap and pallets
    • Ensure product is on acceptable pallets and stretched properly
    • Pull away, label and stage product palletized from robot or manual stations
  • Load Trailers
    • Check wheels and put jack stand under trailer before loading
    • Engage dock lock and ensure dock light is in working condition
    • Verify product being loaded
    • Unload incoming product and complete/verify paperwork
  • Robot Operator
    • Start Up and Shut Down robot operations as needed
    • Program robot to palletize product received from production
    • Troubleshoot and fix minor robot issues
    • Alert maintenance to major robot issues
    • Hand palletize product during breakdowns
    • Maintain stretch operation with stretch wrap and pallets
    • Pull away, label and stage product palletized from robot
    • Assist in all warehouse activities as needed (palletize, stretch wrap, forklift operation, Lead)
    • Operate all PIT Equipment
    • Maintain housekeeping standards to keep the warehouse area clean at all times
    • Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP’s, SOP’s and Administrative Policy and Procedures
  • Put Away & Retrieve Product
    • Ensure product is stacked properly and on an acceptable pallet
    • Ensure pallet has appropriate pallet ticket
    • Record bin that product is entering or departing
  • Generate Pallet & Load Tickets
    • Create tickets for each pallet entering warehouse inventory system
    • Plan loads, and create necessary documentation (pick tickets, delivery tickets, BOL’s, etc.)
  • Operate Yard Tractor
    • Become licensed yard truck operator
    • Pull away and back in trailers as needed
    • Follow all safety procedures, including PIT inspections, jack stand use, etc.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • PIT Operator Certified
  • Basic Math and Computer skills
  • Ability to work independently or within a group atmosphere
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with computer systems (word, excel)

  • Freezer Work: Temperature range +40° F to -20° F

  • Safety is vitally important not only at our facility but also from a personal standpoint. Employees are responsible for understanding and following all safety procedures. Likewise, food safety is a key performance indicator. Understanding this, GMP and housekeeping procedures are to be followed as part of any job at our facility

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is
$29.29$31.90 USD
