Wayfinding Designer
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptual Design: Develop innovative and user-centric wayfinding concepts, considering the specific needs and cultural nuances of the target audience.
- Design Execution: Create detailed design drawings, including signage, maps, and other wayfinding elements, adhering to brand guidelines and project specifications.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire wayfinding design process, from initial concept development to final installation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
- Client Collaboration: Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, present design concepts, and address project-specific challenges.
- Installation Coordination: Coordinate with installation teams to ensure accurate and timely installation of wayfinding elements. Monitor the production process, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to design specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Experience of conducting site visits to assess the quality of installation and address any issues that may arise.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wayfinding design, with a strong focus on large-scale projects.
- Proven experience in managing and executing wayfinding projects in the Middle East or Singapore.
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit preferred.
- Strong understanding of materials, production techniques, and installation methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards for signage and wayfinding.
- Fluency in English.
