Web Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Web Developer based in Brazil.
This is a hands-on remote web development role focused on building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites and landing pages for a diverse client portfolio. You will work closely with a lead developer, contributing to front-end development, site customization, and performance improvements across multiple projects. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver visually polished, functional, and responsive websites. You will also be involved in troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and supporting clients with updates and enhancements. As part of a distributed team, communication, autonomy, and problem-solving skills are essential. This position is ideal for a developer who enjoys practical, client-facing web work in a fast-paced remote environment.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and modify WordPress websites using child themes and modern front-end practices.
- Build and optimize landing pages focused on lead generation and client performance goals.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility across devices and platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common WordPress issues such as layout errors, white screens, and plugin conflicts.
- Manage basic server and hosting tasks using WHM/cPanel environments.
- Collaborate with the lead developer and internal team to deliver high-quality client solutions.
- Support website deployment, migration, and backup processes when required.
- Communicate with clients and team members to coordinate updates and resolve technical requests.
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development (excluding WordPress.com), including work with child themes.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript at an intermediate level.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and independently research solutions when needed.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-device compatibility testing.
- Experience working with hosting environments such as WHM/cPanel.
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-driven mindset.
- Strong communication skills in English and/or Spanish, with professionalism in client interactions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a reliable setup (internet, computer, etc.).
