The Opportunity

As part of the GIS(FME) team you will be part of the development, design, and delivery of Geographic Information System services to support utility industry clients. As a Manager, you supervise and mentor junior team members, manage diverse perspectives, and foster consensus to achieve favorable results. You integrate strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and successful collaboration to drive GIS initiatives across various client functions, including GIS applications, data conversions, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding Functional requirements and the Tech Solution as per documentation (or explained by the Lead)

  • Ability to build and implement ArcGIS Experience Builder solutions- extend widgets wherever deemed necessary.

  • Developing/Customizing Web GIS Solutions in ArcGIS Server JS framework.

  • Automating repetitive GIS tasks with scripts and workflows to boost efficiency and cut manual effort

  • Build/Deploy custom GP Services and SOE/SOI as per requirements.

  • Managing software in source control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket

  • Help building CI/CD pipelines for code deployment

  • Facilitate UAT with the end users, participate and ST and SIT

What You Must Have

  • Minimum of three years’ experience with Esri ArcGIS Software (Enterprise, Desktop, Server, ArcGIS Pro, Online)

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript framework – React etc.

  • Knowledge of ArcGIS REST Services

  • Ability to build ArcGIS Exp Builder widgets and Deploy

  • Programming experience with ArcGIS JavaScript/REST APIs

  • Extend/Customize ArcGIS Exp Builder Widgets (custom widgets) wherever deemed necessary

  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to ever-changing situations

  • Exemplary problem solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication

  • Experience in Python scripting- Knowledge of ArcPy will be an added advantage

  • Experience in PostgreSQL versioned enterprise geodatabase, branch versioned experience is an added advantage

  • Ability to work independently, take direction and pro-actively manage time and work to maintain project schedules

  • Build CI/CD Pipelines for deployment

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience working in the Utilities domain will be an added advantage, along with domain knowledge specific to Electric and/or Gas

  • Knowledge of Esri Utility Network- Core Principles: SubNetwork, Associations, Containment, Tracing etc.

  • Proven knowledge of database design and PL/SQL query, stored procedure and trigger development

  • Experience with the Agile methodology and Jira software

  • Advanced Excel capabilities
