MAIN PURPOSE:<\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/p>The purpose of\nthis role is to lead the Developers and DevOps professionals and provide\nleadership to the WFS Digital Factory.<\/span><\/span>
<\/div>This would\ninclude but not limited to embedment of standards, quality and best practices,\nsecurity, reporting, configuration and build, testing, planning, and deployment\nof solutions. The incumbent will be accountable for all aspects of deployment\nand technical operations including technical project resources\n(partners/subcontractors or staff), scheduling, risk management, internal and\nexternal communication to stakeholders, status reporting, and resource\nmanagement. The individual will also be required to set direction for the area\nand be responsible for driving operational excellence.<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/i>
<\/p>Strategy and Leadership<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/i>
<\/div>- Define\n and execute the Development and DevOps vision and strategy aligned to\n broader IT and business goals.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Develop\n long\-term roadmaps for team capacity, systems scalability, and platform\n reliability.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Lead\n cross\-functional teams with a focus on engineering culture, DevOps\n adoption, and agile maturity.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Serve\n as a key decision\-maker for application architecture, tooling, and\n development standards.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead hiring, mentoring, and performance\nmanagement across development and DevOps roles.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Act as a liaison between software\nengineering, QA, operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li>- Collaborate and support the development\nof the digital strategy and plan<\/span><\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Software Development Oversight<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/i>
<\/p>- Manage full software development\nlifecycle (SDLC) including design, development, code review, testing, release,\nand maintenance.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Oversee engineering quality assurance,\nensuring coding standards, test coverage, and secure coding practices.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Coordinate with product management and\nstakeholders to ensure timely, on\-scope delivery.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Facilitate agile ceremonies and champion\nlean/agile practices (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban).<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Be involved in the Lower\-Level solution\ndesign in collaboration with the Solution Architect<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li><\/ul> <\/span><\/span>DevOps Engineering and Infrastructure<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/i>
<\/p>- Oversee CI/CD pipeline development and\nmaintenance using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, Sonarqube,\nTenable.io, Terraform, QA test framework, etc.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Champion infrastructure as code (IaC)\npractices using Terraform, etc.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Implement and maintain containerization\nand orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Lead efforts for observability \u2014\nmonitoring, logging, alerting, and APM (e.g., Grafana, ELK, DataDog, etc.)<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Collaborate with Information Security to\nembed DevSecOps practices.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Manage public/hybrid cloud platforms\n(AWS, Azure, GCP) for application hosting, deployment, and scaling.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Automate manual operational tasks<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Be involved in the Lower\-Level solution\ndesign in collaboration with the Solution Architect<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div>- Establish change management controls and\ndeployment governance in line with ITIL or equivalent frameworks<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Present progress reports, risk\nassessments, and incident post\-mortems to senior stakeholders<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Ensure appropriate documentation for\nsoftware, environments, and infrastructure.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Maintain audit\-readiness and support\ninternal and external compliance assessments<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Manage costs according to budget, as it\nrelates to technology, people and process<\/span><\/span>
