Windows Systems Engineer- Fleet Operations Engineering

Join our Windows & macOS Systems Engineering team within the Fleet Operation Engineering Group — the people responsible for keeping the systems and storage infrastructure that power Apple's services running and secure at extraordinary scale. This role sits at the heart of large-scale Windows operations. You'll own the configuration, provisioning, and health of Windows environments — designing automation tools that reduce toil, maintaining Windows infrastructure at large scale, and partnering closely with developers, DBAs, network engineers, information security, and EPMs to build the environments that make Apple's products possible. Minimum Qualifications 0-18 months of experience administering windows & macOS operating systems Knowledge of with Windows fundamentals Knowledge of Active Directory User and Device management Knowledge of PowerShell commands and scripting Knowledge of networking fundamentals Knowledge or experience working with ticketing systems Knowledge of local and network firewalls Preferred Qualifications Experience with configuration management tools such as MECM Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment with a sense of shared ownership Ability to troubleshoot server hardware and Windows Server utilizing log files or other tools Knowledge or experience securing Windows, Active Directory, or Configuration Manager environments Knowledge or experience with Go or Python macOS experience in a data center environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
