Wireless Validation Engineer - Stability, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be directly responsible for ensuring the quality of Apple's wireless products, focusing on consistent functionality and stability. This involves understanding new and existing feature implementations to craft informed and robust testing charters, authoring test scenarios, scripts, and plans, and then executing functional and stability testing. You will also write and review automation test scripts, identify and report defects with first-level root cause analysis and consistent reproduction steps, and champion quality efforts by collaborating with platform architecture, standardization, firmware/protocol development, system test & carrier engineering teams to drive improvement proposals and baseband optimizations Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Minimum 7 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, or GSM MTBF, Stability Testing, Automation tools, test suits, or execution Knowledge in testing the cellular protocols Experience in operating simulators 3GPP and ETSI standard Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with testing cellular technologies such as 5G NR FR1 and mmW, LTE, IMS Deep understanding of Cellular Protocol stack, SQA methodologies & practices Experience in developing test strategies, test plans and executing it with automation or manual testing is critical Automation experience and knowledge of modern scripting or compiled languages (Python, Obj-C, Swift) is a plus Outstanding communication skills vital to collaborate with multi-functional teams An analytical, methodical, and creative problem solver committed to driving quality forward
