Workcamper/Camp Host

The Camp Host responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: assisting with the check-ins and check-outs of guests of the park. The camp host will welcome all guests in a friendly manner and assist in the best way they can.


List of Job Duties:

● Assist with check-in/check-out and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing and accounting policies and procedures.

● Daily Patrols of park to check for site issues and verify occupancy.

● Welcome all guests in a friendly manner and assist with any questions or concerns during their stay at the park. Help to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience while adhering to the park rules.

● Ensure that the arrivals/departures checklist is viewed per shift.

● Perform other duties/tasks as required.

● Work Clubhouse scheduled hours as customer service.

● Work closely with the team for set-up, execution and break down of scheduled events.

● Delivering firewood, ice, escorting guests to campsites.

● Helping set up guests with campsites, electrical and water connections (if applicable).

● Maintaining cleanliness of park and pickup trash or assist with returning sites to their standard after guest check-out.

● Maintain the park facilities (shower/bathroom/laundry facilities, if applicable).


Required Skills/Abilities:

● Be able to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment.

● Be able to work holidays, evenings and weekends.

● Have the ability to use oral and written language effectively, and communicate proficiently in English.

● Have excellent computer skills and experience with using reservation and payment software.

● Demonstrate a high level of Guest/Customer Service skills.

● Be able to work outside in inclement weather and on uneven surfaces. Be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

● Be able to operate a golf cart or electric vehicle for most transportation and delivery duties within the park.


Scheduling:
Camp Host hours are based on Business levels, Holiday, and Events booked. The team will plan the schedule for the month and then verify any updates on a weekly basis. Pop-up events may need extra staff within 72 hours notice, but will generally be discussed at the weekly staff meeting. Most workweeks will average 15-25 hours per week.


Workcamping:


The first 10 hours per week are in-trade for the use of a free site including water, power, sewer, wifi and laundry services. Any additional hours will be paid at the agreed upon wage.
