Job Description Summary
At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As a workforce specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the engagement of both current and future workforce members through recruitment, sourcing, caseload management, assignment discovery, placement processes and staff relations. Through these efforts, you will help provide essential administrative and operational support, while ensuring individuals are equipped, aligned and mobilized to advance goals and objectives.Your contributions will play a vital role in advancing Wycliffe’s mission by helping execute initiatives, projects and objectives needed to support Bible translation efforts. You will walk alongside partners and candidates, assess needs and opportunities, and steward resources to support strategic role placement and staff relations. Additionally, you may travel domestically to represent Wycliffe at events, give presentations, and engage in recruitment and lead acquisition efforts.
You’ll partner with Global Workforce Services (GWS) leadership and other team members to:
- Facilitate functions across Workforce Mobilization and Workforce Relations, enhancing workforce experiences
- Shepherd and steward GWS resources to further Wycliffe USA’s strategic priorities, principles and objectives
- Actively participate in GWS team engagements to optimize team culture, cohesion, performance and outcomes

Global Workforce Services (GWS) supports Wycliffe by attracting, retaining, resourcing and supporting a diverse workforce dedicated to advancing Bible translation. Together, we support the full lifecycle of staff, volunteers, interns and contractors — ensuring they are well-equipped, strategically placed and deeply connected to our mission. Responsibilities
You’ll make an impact as you:
- Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
- Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
- Model servant leadership, practice spiritual disciplines and embrace and follow Deeply Rooted principles.
- Live out the conviction that “workflows through relationship” by passionately “loving God and loving people” through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
- Collaborate on initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA's future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities and tactical teams/departmental initiatives.
- Represent Global Workforce Services (GWS) in meetings, projects, workshops, and partnership efforts, as assigned.
- Work alongside the Vice President of Workforce Experiences and other team members, to:
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement by supporting current and future operations through project management, administrative and operational support.
- Partner in evaluating, redesigning and implementing strategies that aid in getting the right people in the right assignment with the right care and resources.
- Align the workforce towards the mission of Wycliffe in support of greater church ownership and engagement through proactive assignment alignment.
- Act as a liaison between GWS and staff, ensuring smooth and timely communication and prompt resolution of inquiries while conveying relevant employment information, guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Facilitate training and orientations, prepare professional presentations and other documents, fostering a positive attitude toward organizational objectives, policies and HR practice and procedures.
- Support candidate recruitment, screening, coaching, and selection processes for internal and external candidates, partnering with stakeholders to fill positions in alignment with organizational priorities, values, and workforce needs.
- Guide candidates and new hires through the application, assignment discovery, onboarding, and orientation processes, providing whole-person care, professional support, and placement readiness for priority roles.
- Make public presentations at schools, churches, and other identified locations about the organization and its service opportunities.
- Adhere to protocols and procedures for engagements, recordkeeping, data, files, and developments with HRIS and lead management software.
- Demonstrate proficiency in team workflows, tools, and best practices by staying current with industry trends and actively participating in professional training and development opportunities, and engage as needed and assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Workforce Experiences and CHRO.
- Other Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be expected for this position.
- Ability and willingness to alter work schedule to work off-hours as needed to work across time zones.

Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree plus one to three years of work experience in human resources; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- A minimum of one year of HR experience and/or SHRM-CP/PHR certification is preferred.
- Nonprofit ministry work or volunteer experience is also beneficial.
- Familiarity with the Wycliffe/SIL context and ministry service is preferred.

Compensation
The hiring range for this position is $21.10/hr - $25.73/hr. The range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe’s non-profit ministry environment. Actual pay rate may be higher based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and/or certifications, budget and allocation, if applicable.
