Job Summary

You will assist the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with statutory safety, health, and environmental standards on-site, conduct inspections and investigations, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment at the Tuas project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters to ensure project compliance with statutory obligations and aerodrome safety standards
  • Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants engaged by the Developer to facilitate safety compliance
  • Prepare and submit daily situation reports to document site safety status
  • Conduct daily health, safety, and environmental inspections, prepare detailed reports, and follow up with the Project Safety Team and contractors to close out issues
  • Execute risk assessments and ensure safe working procedures are properly applied on-site
  • Investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with all safety requirements and procedures at all times
  • Implement safety measures in line with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Safety Management System
  • Identify and highlight training or certification needs to meet legislative standards, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance

Required competencies and certifications

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM (Ministry of Manpower)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years working with a developer or main contractor
  • Experience developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
