Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO)

Responsibilities

• Preparation and implementation of Safety Programs.
• Ensure all work practises comply with Company Safety policy and WSH act
• Advise on Work Plan, Risk Assessments and Safe work procedures
• Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
• Able to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards safe work culture
• Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection
• To investigate any incidents or accidents and advise on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence
• To work closely with the relevant authorities on Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS) in accordance with prevailing legislation and preparation for third part external safety audit
• Conduct environment, Health and Safety Audits as per requirements
• Making certain that all ordinances or orders bearing on occupational safety, health and environmental are complied with local laws
• To prepare and conduct the EHS training for the employees which are identified in RA and SWP
• Conduct Risk Assessment at project site and recommend measures to minimize and possible risk to any person
• Establish a strong safety culture within the company to collectively achieve the project safety, health targets
• Ensure all statutory act and regulations, company safety and health working environment
• Implement OSH management
• Manage Safety audits on site

Requirements

• Diploma in Building/Engineering or related studies
• Min of 5 years’ experience in related field
• Singapore Registered Safety Officer / Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM
• Candidate with Certificate in Fire Safety Manager is an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of ISO and OSHA safety standards
• Good communication & interpersonal skills
• 5.5 work day
