Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO)
Responsibilities
- Preparation and implementation of Safety Programs.
- Ensure all work practises comply with Company Safety policy and WSH act
- Advise on Work Plan, Risk Assessments and Safe work procedures
- Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
- Able to lead fellow colleagues and inculcate them towards safe work culture
- Compile all relevant report and records, carry out daily safety inspection
- To investigate any incidents or accidents and advise on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence
- To work closely with the relevant authorities on Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS) in accordance with prevailing legislation and preparation for third part external safety audit
- Conduct environment, Health and Safety Audits as per requirements
- Making certain that all ordinances or orders bearing on occupational safety, health and environmental are complied with local laws
- To prepare and conduct the EHS training for the employees which are identified in RA and SWP
- Conduct Risk Assessment at project site and recommend measures to minimize and possible risk to any person
- Establish a strong safety culture within the company to collectively achieve the project safety, health targets
- Ensure all statutory act and regulations, company safety and health working environment
- Implement OSH management
- Manage Safety audits on site
Requirements
- Diploma in Building/Engineering or related studies
- Min of 5 years’ experience in related field
- Singapore Registered Safety Officer / Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM
- Candidate with Certificate in Fire Safety Manager is an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of ISO and OSHA safety standards
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- 5.5 work day
