Workplace Security Manager

Position Summary

Focus Partners Wealth is seeking a Workplace Security Manager to join our growing team!

The Workplace Security Manager is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing operation of the company's physical security, access control, and emergency management programs across a portfolio of more than 100 office locations ranging from 2,000 to 50,000 square feet.
This leader will establish enterprise standards, assess and improve existing processes and technologies, deploy scalable solutions, and ensure consistent execution across all facilities. The role requires a unique blend of operational excellence, program management, systems thinking, and change leadership. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable conducting detailed assessments of current-state environments, designing future-state programs, and managing steady-state operations once systems are deployed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the company’s enterprise physical security strategy across all office locations
  • Establish and maintain security policies, standards, and operating procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with Facilities, Real Estate, IT, HR, Legal, and business leaders to align security programs with business needs
  • Oversee access control systems, visitor management, and physical identity processes, ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Design and implement scalable security solutions and modernize access control technologies
  • Develop and manage emergency preparedness, business continuity, and incident response programs
  • Lead response efforts for security incidents, including life safety events, workplace concerns, and facility disruptions
  • Conduct assessments of existing security programs, technologies, and vendors, identifying opportunities for improvement and standardization
  • Drive large-scale security initiatives, including new technology implementations and operational enhancements
  • Monitor program performance through KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and security-related budgets
Qualifications
Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in physical security, corporate security, emergency management, or related fields
  • Experience managing security programs across multiple office locations
  • Proven success implementing access control and security technologies at scale
  • Experience building emergency preparedness and incident response programs
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting large, distributed office environments (100+ locations)
  • Familiarity with access control, visitor management, video surveillance, and security platforms
  • Knowledge of business continuity and crisis management frameworks
  • Relevant certifications (CPP, PSP, CEM, CBCP, PMP, or similar)

  • Assess and enhance existing security and emergency preparedness programs
  • Establish consistent standards and governance across all locations
  • Lead modernization initiatives for access control and security technology
  • Improve operational efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation
  • Strengthen the organization’s readiness and response to security and emergency events

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $100,000-$110,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
