Workshop Coordinator
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Coordinator to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. This is a full-time position based on-site at our Mackay facility. As Workshop Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth opera tional targets. This position is essential to the success of our manufacturing and logistics operations, directly supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily workshop activities and ensure all tasks are scheduled and prioritised effectively to meet production deadlines
Maintain accurate production schedules and update all relevant teams on progress, delays and resource requirements
Monitor workflow and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, implementing solutions to optimise productivity
Liaise with production teams, supervisors and management to ensure clear communication and alignment on priorities
Track work orders, materials and equipment availability to support seamless workshop operations
Assist with resource allocation and ensure adequate staffing levels for all scheduled work
Maintain comprehensive documentation of production activities, including timesheets, work completed and any incidents or issues
Support quality control processes by ensuring work meets required standards and specifications
Coordinate with logistics and planning teams to ensure timely delivery of components and finished products
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and safety standards
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a workshop coordination, production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing or logistics environment
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments and levels of seniority
Proficiency with scheduling software, production management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational challenges using problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards and safety protocols
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Physical capability to work in a workshop environment and perform necessary administrative tasks on-site
Preferred experience with ERP systems or warehouse management systems
