About the Role
To station at workshop and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of workshop. Responsible for Key Result Areas like Financial, Performance, Customers, Satisfaction, Internal Business Processes and learning & Growth of staff under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Division Head in managing the Automotive Services operations and ensure all KPIs are met.
- Lead thorough technical investigation on vehicles involved in incidents and submit report findings.
- Analyze data not limited to material consumption and turnaround time to improve overall workshop operations and productivity.
- Work with Purchasing & Logistics Dept to control inventory availability and cost.
- Achieve cost savings for the division through product development, material control, operation processes, and innovation initiatives.
- Update engineering policies, safety guidelines and standards to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Ensure all workshops are kept abreast of the latest procedural and technical developments and conduct training as needed.
- Monitor branch performance against the targets set and take initiative to meet or exceed the targets.
- Provide ground leadership to guide, coach and motivate the workforce and to nurture a culture of quality customer service, good work safety & housekeeping practices and continuous learning.
- Conduct periodical performance review of workshop personnel to ensure that the work attitude and performance meet the company’s objectives.
- Formulate and implement an effective organization chart based on the best job fit, subject to staff competency and suitability for the position.
- Promote an amicable work environment and ensure there is an efficient flow of relevant information within the department.
- Chair meeting with both external and internal stakeholder in relation to workshop business and operations.
