Workspace Customer Engineer II, Platform, New Business, Google Cloud

You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Google Workspace Customer Engineer (CE), you will partner with Sales teams to differentiate Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise to our customers. You will serve as the customer’s primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical-led conversations to understand their business issues. You will troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks, engage in proofs-of-concepts and demos, and use your expertise to architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that solve these business challenges. You will drive the technical win and define the delivery and consumption plans. You will use your acumen and presentation skills to engage with technical and business leaders, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Workspace and agentic workplace transformation. You will have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills.

  • Work on identifying and qualifying business opportunities, key customer technical objections, and developing strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Architect solutions that leverage Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise to automate complex, end-to-end customer workflows.
  • Educate partners and customers on leveraging agentic capabilities using Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise including integrations with third-party data sources.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Workspace.
  • Educate partners on the power of Google Workspace and enable them to drive technical innovation for our customers. Help partners develop technology direction for the Google Workspace solutions they want to take to market.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
  • Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI-related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working on power applications and productivity software.
  • Experience in designing, building, or implementing agentic AI solutions to automate business processes.
  • Experience in technical cloud ecosystems on enterprise productivity solutions and with related solutions (e.g., messaging, productivity applications, identity management, endpoint management).
  • Knowledge of Agentic AI platforms (including Gemini Enterprise), its features, competitive differentiation, and the integration of enterprise-wide data sources and third-party connectors.
