Job Summary

The year-round ambassador is responsible for providing campus tours, calling prospective students, building relationships with visiting school groups, and facilitating campus attendance throughout the entire fiscal year. The year-round ambassador displays initiative, leadership, and pride.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Provides campus tours to prospective students and their families
  • Participates in phone call campaigns; communicates with prospective students
  • Facilitates and helps leadership in campus recruitment events, including generating event attendance
  • Creates student recruiting note reports through Workday
  • Interacts with group tour contacts to build relationships with schools
  • Provides high-level customer service to students, families, and University personnel
  • Works closely with the campus experience coordinator to create a positive work environment; fosters collaboration between the student ambassador program, student organizations, and University officers
  • Collaborates with campus leadership to continuously improve job-related processes
  • Files sensitive records
  • Maintains professional conduct
  • Recognizes potentially negative situations and responds in a positive manner to alleviate the concerns of prospective students and their families
  • Assists Admissions Office with event setup
  • Covers front desk for check-ins, phone calls, etc., as needed
  • Assists with incoming deliveries to the Evans Commons loading dock

Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

  • Good academic and financial standing with the university
  • Current enrollment in classes at Lindenwood University
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a student ambassador role
  • Valid United States driver’s license
