YMCA Trainer
Join our YMCA Trainer team and help strengthen the health, safety, and well-being of the communities we serve. As a Part-Time CPR Instructor, you will play a vital role in equipping YMCA staff and community members with lifesaving skills while fostering genuine connections, delivering exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching learning environment where every interaction matters.

- Foster Community and Inclusion
- Create welcoming and engaging learning experiences that build confidence, encourage participation, and strengthen connections among YMCA staff and community members.
- Ensure Training Excellence
- Plan and facilitate high-quality CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguarding, and safety-related trainings that meet YMCA and certifying agency standards.
- Maintain Safety and Standards
- Promote a culture of safety by enforcing training protocols, maintaining certification requirements, and ensuring training equipment and supplies are clean, operational, and ready for use.
- Training Programs: We are currently looking for individuals to train on CPR, First Aid and AED and Lifeguarding Certification through the Red Cross and a Babysitting program.
- Training Locations: Trainings may be offered throughout Orange County, including:
- Mission Viejo
- Laguna Niguel
- Fullerton
- Huntington Beach
- Newport Beach
- Tustin
- San Gabriel Valley
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Age
- 20+ years old
- Education & Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience as a trainer in CPR, First Aid, AED, or Lifeguarding certification courses
- Experience facilitating group trainings and instructing participants in a classroom setting preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to training locations throughout Orange County
- Certifications
- Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor Certification
- Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Certification
- Certifications can be paid for by the YMCA
