Youth Manager
Job Description:
Salary: $62-65,000/year
This position serves Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden and Jefferson Counties and requires some travel.

Scope of Position: Manage the overall function of the WIOA Youth program, including customer outreach, intake, orientation, assessment, and eligibility. Oversee customer experience and foster human-centered design. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients and leadership and direction to program staff. Reports directly to the Program Director.
Essential Functions:
Report to and work closely with the Program Director to ensure that youth program staff and resources are used appropriately and that contractual goals are met
Assist the Program Director and Performance Analyst in analyzing WIOA Youth performance reports and internal monitoring reports, making necessary improvements to ensure goals are met as negotiated with the State
Strong regional community awareness of youth-serving resources, schools, and organizations
Travel between Career Centers and community sites as necessary to support youth program delivery
Ensure and provide person-first services and guidance to all youth participants
Provide mentorship to youth program staff and model positive communication techniques to resolve participant issues and barriers
Ensure staff are trained on WIOA Youth eligibility requirements, 14 program elements, and performance accountability measures
Demonstrate, maintain, and communicate programmatic policies and procedures
Prepare statistical monitoring and other reports pertaining to program intake, assessment, and performance outcomes
Oversee youth program data collection in Employ Florida to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Facilitate team meetings to ensure timely dissemination of information and effective use of program resources
Assist with recruitment and outreach to market the youth program and CareerSource services
Seek training and information on new and innovative youth workforce strategies and best practices

Education and Experience Requirements:
Preferred experience in business, sales, training, or management
Must have experience in team-oriented environment
Experience with WIOA Youth program services, eligibility, and performance accountability measures
Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, liberal arts, or related area is preferred
Ability to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive attitude
Florida Workforce Professional Certification Tier I required (must be completed within 30 days of employment)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver’s license
