Accountant

Working Location: Based in Great World City (GWC) but required to travel to Shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun (2-3 times weekly)

Working hours in the shipyard: 7.30am to 5.00pm (transportation provided in the morning)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare month-end closing entries for Singapore and Saudi entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Review general ledger transactions and ensure all transactions have been properly recorded and accounted for
  • Prepare audit schedules for Singapore and Saudi entities
  • Assist in balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist on annual audit and preparation of financial statements for Singapore and Saudi entities
  • Prepare tax computation for Singapore and Saudi entities
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns timely and accurately
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions between entities
  • Support process improvements
  • Serve as a key finance business partner to the Saudi subsidiary by providing guidance to support business operations, while ensuring compliance with established SOPS, internal policies and control framework
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments including preparation of management reports and support for regulatory submissions (e.g. government surveys)

Key Requirements

  • Min 3-5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and corporate tax
  • Experience in audit and tax compliance across multiple entities
  • Experience handling cross-border operations, preferably involving the Middle East
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Words
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Experience in SAP will be advantage

Bachelors in Accountancy or Finance
