WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (WSHO)
- Location: Location: Tampines / Woodlands (This position will be based at the project site and will require travel between the two locations as needed.)
- Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri: 8am to 5:30pm, Sat: 8am to 12:00pm)
- Willingness to commit to extended hours and Shift Work
Job Description:
- Ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and chemical safety protocols
- Conducting job hazard analyses (JHA/JSA) to identify potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Organizing and delivering safety training sessions for all personnel, fostering a culture of safety awareness, and mentoring supervisors and workers.
- Leading investigations into any safety incidents or near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of project planning and execution
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Possess a valid WSHO certification recognized by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore
- At least 2 years of experience in managing safety and health aspects of large-scale construction projects, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- Be familiar with both local and international safety regulations, including those specific to the semiconductor industry.
- Be capable of conducting safety training sessions and promoting a culture of safety among all project stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety standards are integrated into all project phases.
- Good communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese associates
