Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts for the company.
  • Recording Transactions: Create journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Managing Accounts: Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare the profit and loss statement (P&L) in a timely manner, as well as the balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies. Balance accounts to confirm that records match and correct any errors.
  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations (e.g. GST submission, IRAS, ACRA, CPF and MOM). Prepare for audits by maintaining organized records and documentation.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights into performance, budgeting, and forecasting, supporting strategic decision-making based on financial health and trends.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the director.


Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance, ACCA, CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Candidates with audit experience would be an advantage
  • Able to plan, organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
