Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the Company's daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and record maintenance. The role also assists with month-end closing, financial reporting, audit support, and statutory compliance activities to ensure accurate and efficient finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily bookkeeping and accounting entries.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, statements of account (SOA), and daily sales and collection reports.
- Perform Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including payment processing, collection follow-up, and customer account reconciliation.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
- Maintain proper accounting records, filing systems, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare accounting schedules, reports, and supporting documentation as required.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on accounting-related matters.
- Support audit, GST, tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- LCCI/ CAT/ Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum 3 year of relevant working experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with Sage ACCPAC is preferred.
- Positive working attitude, willing to learn and able to multi-task
