Administrative Assistant (1-Year Contract)

About This Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a public sector team in the coordination of programmes, events administration, system management and operational processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, stakeholder coordination and the administration of critical systems and initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support the assessment and administration of events and programmes

• Prepare, collate and maintain event-related documentation, administrative briefs and supporting materials

• Assist in the development and scheduling of social media and communications content

• Conduct monthly system audits and ensure records are maintained accurately

• Manage system access administration, including account creation, updates and access controls

• Track, monitor and respond to feedback received through various communication channels

• Maintain proper documentation, records and databases to support operational processes

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth administrative operations and timely completion of assigned tasks

• Provide general administrative support and undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma qualification in any discipline

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

• Meticulous, resourceful and able to work independently

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Prior experience in administration, programme coordination, events support or public sector environments will be advantageous
