Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Core Tech

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will design, develop, and scale precision assembly and measurement processes that directly shape the quality and reliability of Apple products. You'll lead the research and development of novel automation technologies, own complex engineering challenges from concept through high-volume production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and global manufacturing partners to continuously raise the bar. Minimum Qualifications BSME or equivalent (MSME, MSIE desired), with minimum 3 years in an automation engineering role with experience in automation equipment design (product design add on) as well as design for manufacturability and advanced manufacturing engineering. New product introduction and Automation Manufacturing Operations experience. Proven working knowledge of DFM (automation equipment design review). Confirmed ability in automation engineering & manufacturing process field with relevant design technical expertise. Fluent in written and spoken English. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of optics principles as they relate to CCD cameras, 3D, 2D and 1D lasers, and their use for positioning and critical alignment fixtures. Basic understanding of glue adhesive dispense, PSAs and VHBs, or coils winding processes, sensing camera processes, glass or lens lamination processes. Understanding of pneumatics, servo motors, 4axis and 6axis robots, PLC and PC-based control systems a plus. Understand and create tolerance analysis stack ups for assemblies and part level datums reference. Knowledge of AI technology or machine learning, adapt to automation development working principle. Understanding of AVI, automation visual inspection technology, include HW/SW/Vision development Knowledge of GD&T principles a plus. X2, NX4, or Validated Work CAD experiences a plus. JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma experience a plus. A passion and dedication in cost reduction, project management and automation engineering design.
