Assistant Controller

You will own day-to-day accounting operations and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close. You will maintain the general ledger in NetSuite, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable workflows, and partner with payroll providers. You will account for token activity and reconcile on-chain activity to the books, support tax, audit, and compliance requests, document controls, and improve accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve monthly quarterly and annual close processes
• Maintain the general ledger in NetSuite including journal entries accruals prepaids and intercompany activity
• Reconcile bank accounts corporate cards payroll and other balance sheet accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows including vendor onboarding invoice processing and payment runs
• Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll benefits bonus and equity accounting
• Maintain clean subledgers and supporting schedules that tie to the GL
• Account for token activity and reconcile on-chain activity to the general ledger
• Support crypto specific accounting workflows and reconciliations
• Coordinate with external specialists on digital asset accounting matters
• Prepare schedules documentation and reconciliations to support corporate tax filings
• Support external tax audit and advisory firms for audits reviews and special projects
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures align with US GAAP
• Document accounting processes and controls and design scalable workflows
• Identify gaps risks and inefficiencies and implement improved controls

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of accounting experience including public accounting and in-house roles
• Experience with NetSuite and month-end close in a multi-entity environment
• Hands-on experience with finance tools such as Ramp or similar
• Experience with payroll providers such as ADP or similar
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and balance sheet accounting
• CPA preferred
• Comfortable operating in high-growth ambiguous environments
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Clear communicator able to explain accounting concepts to non finance stakeholders
