Assistant General Manager
RoleSummary
As the Assistant General Manager, you will report directly to the COO and act as a key strategic partner in leading daily operations, driving profitability, and ensuring high-quality output. You will bridge the gap between upper management and the production, sales, and logistics teams to optimize productivity and enforce strict safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1.Operational Oversight & Production Management
· Oversee manufacturing and maintenance of reinforcement steel fabrication processes, Infrastructure Services and Slag Operations to ensure productivity and effectiveness of these operations.
· Monitor production metrics (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles.
· Ensure all fabricated steel meets local quality standards and structural specifications.
· Manage raw material inventory, optimize resource allocation, and reduce production waste.
2.Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Compliance
· Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations across the manufacturing facility and delivery yards.
· Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
· Maintain a zero-incident safety culture among all factory and logistics personnel.
3.Business Development & Stakeholder Management
· Collaborate with sales and project teams to secure major construction orders and align supply schedules with project timelines.
· Build and maintain strategic relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and key clients across Singapore.
4.Financial & Budgetary Control
· Assist COO in preparing the annual business unit budget and financial planning.
· Monitor operating expenses, manage cost-reduction strategies, and maximize operational profitability.
5.Team Leadership & Talent Development
· Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of department heads, supervisors, and engineering staff.
· Assist in workforce planning, recruitment, and training programs to upskill the production team.
· Foster a positive workplace culture and resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
