Assistant Project Manager – Boiler Repair Operations
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role is designed to groom future leaders in the marine and industrial boiler industry through structured on-the-job training.
You will gain hands-on exposure to boiler repair, service coordination, project management, safety compliance, and customer relations—developing the exact skills needed to grow into a senior managerial role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing boiler maintenance and repair projects. Coordinate with service engineers, technicians, and workshop teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Technical Exposure: Learn the fundamentals of marine and industrial boiler systems (composite, auxiliary, thermal oil heaters). Participate in inspections, troubleshooting, and repair works onboard vessels and in our workshops.
- Project & Client Coordination: Support senior managers in communicating with shipowners, shipyards, and class surveyors. Assist in preparing technical quotations, work scopes, and project completion reports.
- Management Development: Rotate across operations, technical, procurement, and safety functions. Participate in leadership programs, mentoring sessions, and management reviews to build problem-solving and people-management skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply; prior exposure to ship repair, boilers, or marine engineering is a strong advantage.
- A genuine interest in marine engineering and boiler repair operations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including shipyards, workshops, and onboard vessels.
- Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours to support urgent operational needs.
