ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily on-site construction activities, progress tracking, and operational needs to ensure smooth site execution.
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing, monitoring, and updating the master construction programme (CP) to meet project milestones.
  • Conduct and facilitate regular coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultants, architects, and relevant authorities.
  • Schedule and lead joint site inspections with the Resident Engineer (RE) and Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to secure structural and architectural clearances.
  • Monitor project costing and take proactive measures to prevent cost overruns, including tracking variations orders (VOs) and progress claims.
  • Drive site implementation to achieve HDB’s mandated CONQUAS targets.
  • Review technical drawings, identify discrepancies, and resolve structural/architectural interfaces. using BIM (Building Information Modelling) / Revit.
  • Oversee the logistics, delivery, and site installation of precast concrete components and Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBU).
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including task reports, official correspondences, progress photos, and meeting minutes.
  • Enforce and govern workplace safety, health, and environmental (WSHE) compliance on-site to deliver the project to expected safety standards.
  • Mentor, train, and provide clear technical guidance to site supervisors and junior engineers on the project team.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related field recognized by BCA / PEB.
  • Minimally 5 to 8 years of working experience with a Main Contractor in Singapore, preferably with a proven track record in high-rise HDB BTO.
  • Independent, diligent, and highly motivated with an excellent team spirit and leadership capabilities.
