Assistant Sales Manager

The Opportunity

Join a well-established manufacturing organization as an Assistant Sales Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. This role offers the opportunity to manage strategic customer accounts, contribute to regional business growth initiatives, and play a key role in strengthening the company's market presence. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to support long-term commercial objectives while contributing to the execution of the company's sales strategy.

About the Role

You will manage and develop key customer accounts while identifying opportunities to expand the company's presence in overseas and untapped markets. Working closely with the Head of Sales, you will support go-to-market initiatives, engage with customers, attend industry trade shows, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key customer accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing customers while seeking opportunities to expand the scope of supplies.
  • Develop new and untapped markets to support business growth.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows to gain market insights, identify opportunities, and generate new leads.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales to devise and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in key account management.
  • Ability to travel on a frequent basis.
  • Technical or engineering background will be advantageous.
  • Ability to follow through on long-term projects.
  • Task-oriented with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Strong team player with collaborative working style.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM will be advantageous.
  • Diploma qualification.
