Bartender Apprentice, Nobu (Caesars New Orleans)
The Bartender Apprentice at Nobu is responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service while assisting the Bartender with beverage orders and ensuring bar(s) are stocked and cleaned. Success at Nobu Restaurant is defined by traits like a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated history of anticipatory service. Previous experience of at least one year in a high-volume, fine dining establishment is preferred.
- Prepares and pours drinks for bartender and servers upon request.
- Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift; maintaining proper product pars - through bar pulls & inventories. Stocks drink related items such as liquor, beer, wine and glassware throughout the shift.
- Ensures that ice bins, soda tanks, and beer kegs are filled at all times.
- Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers and other bar appliances in accordance with established policies as well as the Louisiana Health Standards
- Ensures bar is set-up properly including all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meets service standards.
- Properly sanitizes equipment, utensils, and glassware.
- Performs opening, closing & side duties - setting up/breaking down the bar, cleaning glass/countertops, sweeping the floor; empties and cleans all trash containers on a regular basis.
- Responsible for collecting and disposing of all bottles, caps, corks and boxes.
- Acknowledges and greets customers who approach the bar
- Completes special assignments as requested.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Bartender in a high-volume nightclub or high-volume restaurant required.
- Knowledge of drink recipes and preparation.
- Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency.
- Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests.
