Beverage Manager

Responsibilities

Beverage Operations Management:

· Oversee all aspects of beverage operations, ensuring quality service and consistent product delivery across all food and beverage outlets.

· Manage beverage service during peak and off-peak times, ensuring that guest expectations are exceeded at all times.

· Ensure the efficient operation of bars, lounges, and other beverage-related services, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.

Team Leadership:

· Lead, mentor, and train the beverage team, including supervisors, bartenders, baristas, and barbacks, ensuring they meet service standards and operate efficiently.

· Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and develop team members through continuous coaching and feedback to the team to enhance performance and career growth.

· Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, identify areas for improvement support development plans, to enhance team effectiveness and ensure a motivated team culture.

Menu Development & Innovation:

· Collaborate with the culinary team and F&B Operations Manager and Director of Food & Beverage to develop and update beverage menus, ensuring creativity and variety while aligning with guest preferences and seasonal trends.

· Introduce innovative drink offerings, including signature cocktails, premium beverage selections, and local-inspired drinks, to differentiate the hotel’s beverage offerings.

· Regularly evaluate the menu, adjust recipes, and create seasonal or promotional beverage items that enhance guest experience and increase sales.

Inventory & Stock Management:

· Oversee the beverage inventory, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and control of products.

· Manage stock levels to minimize waste and ensure consistent availability of beverages, particularly high-demand items.

· Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and place timely orders based on usage trends and budget forecasts.

Cost Control & Revenue Growth:

· Develop and implement strategies to control beverage costs while maintaining product quality and guest satisfaction.

· Monitor beverage sales and analyze trends to identify opportunities for increasing revenue through upselling, promotions, and efficient operations.

· Collaborate with the culinary team and F&B Operations Manager and Director of Food & Beverage to establish beverage pricing strategies that are competitive and profitable, while ensuring alignment with brand positioning.

Guest Experience & Satisfaction:

· Ensure that all beverage service meets or exceeds the standards of quality, service, and presentation.

· Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring swift resolution to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.

· Proactively engage with guests, obtaining feedback on beverage offerings and making recommendations to enhance their experience.

Health & Safety Compliance:

· Ensure that all beverage operations comply with health and safety regulations, including safe alcohol service practices.

· Oversee the implementation and adherence to hygiene and safety procedures across all beverage areas.

· Conduct regular training with staff on safety practices, including alcohol service laws, fire safety, and safe handling of equipment.

Staff Scheduling & Budgeting:

· Develop staff schedules for beverage outlets, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and minimizing labor costs during slower periods.

· Work with senior management to develop and manage the beverage department's budget, ensuring that all costs are in line with financial goals.

· Monitor staffing levels and adjust as necessary based on business needs and guest demand.

Reporting & Documentation:

· Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on beverage sales, inventory levels, team performance, and guest feedback.

· Maintain accurate records of all beverage-related transactions, including orders, receipts, and financial documentation.

· Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

· Work closely with the Food & Beverage team, kitchen staff, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

· Collaborate with marketing and events teams to develop beverage-related promotions, themed nights, and special events that enhance guest experience and increase sales.

Promotions & Events:

· Organize and manage beverage-focused promotions, events, and seasonal offerings to attract guests and drive sales.

· Coordinate with the events team to ensure that beverage offerings meet the needs and expectations of large-scale functions, banquets, or special events.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the effective operation of the department and the broader goals of the property.

Experience/Certificates/Education

· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory / leadership role in beverage management, preferably in a high-end restaurant or a luxury hospitality environment. Experience in managing beverage operations, menu development, cost control, and staff leadership. Strong background in beverage sales, with experience in maximizing revenue and controlling costs.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in beverage management, mixology, or sommelier training is a plus.

· Language:

o Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
