Job Summary

Join KKIS as a Secondary Science Teacher delivering Cambridge/IB curriculum for Years 6-14. Lead Biology teaching and advisory roles while creating engaging lessons that support diverse learners and foster academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead academic and pastoral development for a class of middle grade students to support their holistic progress
• Organize classroom resources and create stimulating displays to enhance a positive learning environment
• Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated Science lessons tailored to diverse student learning needs
• Engage and motivate students through creative and enthusiastic class activities
• Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work to promote continuous improvement
• Accurately record, evaluate, and report student progress to meet assessment requirements
• Communicate regularly with parents to update them on student academic and pastoral progress
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate curriculum and school activities effectively
• Organize and participate in school events, outings, and extracurricular activities to enrich student experience
• Undertake special assignments and ad-hoc duties as required to support school operations

Required competencies and certifications

• BSc | MSc in Biology, Master of Philosophy (Chemistry), or related Science Studies (Essential)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in international schools
• Pedagogical Certification Qualifications (e.g., CICTL) (Preferred)
• Experience with international curricula such as Cambridge/IB PYP, MYP, DP, IGCSE, CBSE, or ICSE (Preferred)

Teacher Welfare:

• Work schedule: 5 days a week, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Wednesdays until 5:30 PM)
