Directs a program that identifies, tracks, bills, and collects from third party health plan carriers for inpatient/outpatient clients to recover maximum dollars. Provides technical expertise in work of the office to subordinate staff who determine the availability and type of alternate resources for Contract Health referrals and available Medicare/Medicaid fund to upper management. Ensures health insurance information is captured on all patients including interviewing patients; use of questionnaires, reviewing release information insurance inquiries, contacting alternate resources for claim information. Performs common supervisory duties such as coordinate and distribute workload to accounting technicians, billing technicians, patient registration clerks; teaches and trains employees, performs annual appraisal, approves leaves, counsels' employees, keeps employees informed of changes.
