Job Summary

Manage Japanese kitchen operations by preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to SOPs and company standards to ensure consistent quality and efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food following SOPs to ensure consistent execution and maintain high food quality before service
  • Cook and present Japanese dishes efficiently, adhering to company operations manual and standards
  • Assist in preparing, cooking, garnishing, and presenting Japanese cuisine to meet quality expectations
  • Stay informed on current promotions and new menu items to support kitchen operations
  • Maintain compliance with standards for supplies, equipment, and kitchen work areas
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and promptly report maintenance issues to the Chef
  • Assist in monitoring and managing accurate food ordering and stock levels to reduce waste
  • Estimate required quantities and costs of food supplies and ingredients for effective kitchen planning

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a basic culinary role
  • Basic cooking skills and knowledge of sanitary food handling practices
