Job Summary

Prepare and supervise the daily kitchen operations to deliver high-quality traditional Indian dishes. Manage ingredient planning, stock control, and menu innovation while coaching junior staff and meeting customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality traditional authentic Indian dishes, focusing on North Indian and Mexican styles
  • Apply knowledge of herbs and spices to cook traditional Indian dishes accurately
  • Ensure all dishes are freshly prepared and meet established food quality standards
  • Supervise and coach junior kitchen staff to maintain smooth kitchen operations daily
  • Plan and arrange ingredients for next-day preparation and customer orders
  • Understand and fulfill customer requirements based on orders received
  • Introduce new dishes and update menus to enhance offerings
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels and inventory to ensure availability and reduce shortages
  • Enforce stock rotation procedures according to inventory management best practices
  • Monitor portion sizes and control food waste to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Maintain consistent food quality throughout service periods
  • Work effectively under pressure during peak busy periods
  • Adapt to flexible working hours, including split shifts as required
