CHEF

Job Summary

You will prepare and cook North and South Indian cuisine, including tandoori dishes, manage daily menu planning, monitor stock levels, and oversee kitchen ordering in a non-air-conditioned environment with weekend, public holiday, and shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare North and South Indian dishes following established recipes to ensure authentic taste and quality
  • Cook tandoori items using appropriate techniques to maintain food standards
  • Plan and prepare daily menus to meet customer demand and kitchen capacity
  • Monitor kitchen stock levels regularly to prevent shortages and reduce waste
  • Manage kitchen ordering by coordinating with suppliers to maintain ingredient availability
  • Adapt to a non-air-conditioned kitchen environment while maintaining food safety and hygiene
  • Work on weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts between 7:30am and 11:00pm
  • Perform overtime as required to support kitchen operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of making Indian sweets to enhance menu variety
