CIVIL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on guidance and supervision on civil works to ensure quality and compliance
  • Lead and participate in meetings with main contractors and clients to resolve project issues and conduct safety toolbox meetings
  • Plan and request materials and full PPE at least one week in advance to support uninterrupted site operations
  • Collaborate with project teams to prepare and submit risk assessments and method statements for safe work execution
  • Monitor site progress against approved schedules from main contractors and report deviations
  • Manage street lighting system activities including study, project planning, tender and design review, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and documentation
  • Perform personal security checks and adhere to established safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
  • Troubleshoot cabling system issues and execute repairs and maintenance as required to ensure system reliability
  • Assist in preparing tools and materials for daily work assignments to support efficient operations
  • Develop daily and weekly work plans based on the master schedule and provide progress reports to stakeholders
  • Supervise site inspections and resolve site matters related to project progress and subcontractor works
  • Adapt to work night shifts and emergency works as required to meet project demands
  • Execute air conditioning, refrigeration, road, and drain works as an Assistant Engineer to support project scope
  • Perform mill and patching and road marking works to maintain road infrastructure quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project and operational needs

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in road works maintenance, including mill and patching and road marking

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Valid Class 3 driving license (preferred but not essential for core duties)
