CLAIMS ANALYST
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Claims analyst
- Investigate and handle claims arising from various classes of business including Property, Casualty and Specialty and jurisdictions, in accordance with company standards, procedures and best practices.
- Ensure all handled claims are properly processed and reserved.
- Ensure alignment and compliance with global reserving practices and strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with key brokers as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist and provide feedback to Underwriters related to claims as required.
- Participate in client visits and audits as required.
- Assist manager in developing reports.
- Assist team with testing and development of tools.
- Liaising with global operations and claims team to troubleshoot complex issues and ensuring processes are efficient and meet S.O.X 404 requirements.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors and vendors
Operations
- Responsible for policy processing and cash pairing.
- Liaising with brokers and underwriters to ensure information is captured accurately and on a timely basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or university degree preferred, or comparable experience.
- Professional designation preferable (ACII qualification, insurance industry accreditation or similar work experience).
- At least 2 to 3 years relevant prior experience in the (re)insurance industry.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the claim’s technical matters, and legal aspects of the various jurisdictions.
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, SICS.
- Excellent mathematical/analytical skills.
