Let me tell you about the role
The Australia supply team needs to ensure the supply security for its customers, maximizing integrated value for bp leveraging trading tools & capabilities while maintaining robust compliance with policies & guidelines.
The new CCM role will play a critical role in supporting supply manager to ensure safe execution of the growth of the business in Australia. It will also play a critical oversight & control function for the Supply Manager to ensure the right culture, ways of working, identifying & mitigating potential process gaps & risks. The role will also play a leadership role in ensuring a one team approach across the supply team with a focus on culture and integrated value.
This role will be essential in bringing commercial expertise into the supply team, be a key point for all BP Singapore and BP Australia internal stakeholders’ engagement, setting up the robust controls & processes in place, partnering with supply manager to help manage the supply team, deliver the key commercial priorities & help develop local supply and trading knowledge in the supply team. CCM will also work closely with BP Singapore trading benches to ensure alignment of business priorities, escalating any issues & driving operational efficiency across Singapore and Australia.
What you will deliver
The CCM Role will support the Supply Manager in running the Australia Supply business & team, with the focus on establishing a robust controls & processes in line with bp core policies & culture.
The key accountabilities include:
- Support Supply Manager in execution of commercial priorities in safe & complaint way, engage with the key internal stakeholders & functions across Australia and Singapore as well as Midstream & C&P where needed.
- Extend and strengthen trading culture and expertise, setting unified ways of working across benches and Australia aligned with Supply and Trading standards.
- Ensure any new activities / deals are executed within bp frameworks & in compliance with key bp policies.
- Review, identify potential risks in day to day activities & processes, propose robust frameworks and / or mitigations engaging where needed with the relevant internal stakeholders (functions or management).
- Ensure day to day operations of team are running well and efficient, drive continuous improvements.
- Propose and implement best practice and exposure management processes, and lead the training of the supply team (e.g., exposure management, new cost manager workflows, demurrage optimisation), serving as the centre of expertise for key systems
- Work with the supply team, benches and / or functions on any adhoc waivers requests and exemptions,
- Ensure a balanced risk / reward conversations, escalate timely to Singapore and Australian management any issues or concerns.
- Support supply manager in managing any updates on sanctions, credit/legal / tax matters, MSO and compliance
- Partner with Singapore and Australia functions to establish strong controls, provide timely updates on any new policy, process & regulatory updates relevant to Supply business.
- Perform a wide range of other general management tasks and lead a range of initiatives that support the Supply Manager in delivering the business strategy.
- Support various aspects of team management, a.o. onboarding, coaching, and scheduling/ops interfaces.
- Ensure systems of record are correctly implemented and used, reviews & set up of relevant DOAs, travel / expenses requests etc.
- Lead & develop graduates, engage with graduates’ governance board members, talent development.
- Foster a one team culture between Australia and Singapore focusing on integrated value.
What you will need to be successful
- Relevant industry experience including experience in trading business
- Prior experience in RPT CCM roles and other commercial positions within Supply and/or Trading.
- Successful completion of a trading development program / ATC is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the supply trading business, including exposure management, P&L generation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of bp businesses
- Knowledge of Mogas & Middle Distillates international trading markets.
- Deep understanding of supply and trading principles, controls, and policies & prior experience in successful implementing core bp controls & processes.
- Hands‑on experience with trading core systems and tools.
- Solid understanding of trading supporting functions, with an established working network across BP functions.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment, adapting communication style as needed.
- Proven capability to operate in a fast‑paced supply and trading environment, managing multiple priorities and switching quickly between tasks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate, align objectives, and drive shared outcomes.
- Commercial mindset with strong problem‑solving, analytical reasoning, and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate quick, sound judgment in dynamic situations.
- Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to balance differing viewpoints and influence positive change.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, tight timelines, and competing demands.
- Advanced IT proficiency and experience contributing to or implementing BP digital projects is a plus.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, efficiency gains, and continuous improvement.
- High proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

The supply team is a very dynamic, commercially focused team operating under the global supply model & framework. The team optimizes the full value chain and supply of ground fuels and jet into the Australian market. Led by the Supply Manager, the team comprises Optimisation Leads, Marketers, and Supply Negotiators.
Supply works closely with Trading and Shipping, Midstream, and Customers and Products to capture and maximize integrated value for bp, leveraging supply and trading expertise to deliver competitive, customer‑focused offers and support sustainable business growth.
