Commercial Global Supply Manager - Manufacturing Design
Apple GSMs own the supply chain, commercials and relationship with our Contract Manufacturing partners and are responsible for building a competitive supply chain, relationship management with CMs and local stakeholders, supply operations, risk management, driving operational and cost efficiencies through process or design change, cost negotiations and overall project execution. GSMs sit at the intersection of Apple's business activities and engineering communities, and effectively balance the needs of both groups to ensure successful product launches. GSMs work in concert with operations, supply quality, and supply base engineers as well as Apple’s Product Design and Industrial Design teams. Together, these teams execute and scale both new and existing manufacturing processes, materials, technologies, finishes and form factors.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in managing high volume manufacturing / consulting / supply chain
Strong background working in, or with Government’s large scale manufacturing promotion strategic Initiatives
Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent
Willingness and ability to travel internationally & domestically up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in Supply Chain or MBA from a premier institute
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive and senior stakeholder audiences effectively
Proven experience in cost reduction initiatives
Proven experience in facilitating group alignment, driving consensus, and influencing outcomes across teams without direct authority
Strong ability to translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into clear, structured program plans with measurable milestones
Exceptional ability to build trusted relationships, develop high-performing cross-functional teams, and exert meaningful influence within a complex matrix organisation
Proven capacity to operate effectively in ambiguous environments — demonstrating initiative, sound judgement, and strong attention to detail without losing sight of broader objectives
Current knowledge of world-class supply chain management practices, frameworks, and emerging industry trends
