We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Commis 1 to join our dynamic kitchen team in Visakhapatnam, India. As a Commis 1, you will be a vital part of our culinary operations, working under the guidance of our Chef de Partie and Sous Chef. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a collaborative, supportive environment while contributing to exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Prepare mise-en-place and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and established cooking methods
  • Execute food preparation tasks with precision, ensuring proper portion control and minimal food waste
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization of your assigned station throughout service
  • Store and handle food items in compliance with HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
  • Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in plating, presentation, and food quality standards
  • Actively participate in continuous learning opportunities to enhance culinary knowledge and technical skills
  • Communicate effectively with team members and respond promptly to instructions from senior kitchen staff
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Certification or Diploma in Culinary Arts from a recognized institute (preferred)
  • Basic knife skills and fundamental food preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles
  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take constructive feedback
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
