construction foreman
Job Description
The Construction General Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site interior fit-out and renovation works to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with approved drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily site activities for interior fit-out and renovation projects.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers.
- Plan and assign daily work schedules to ensure project progress.
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor workmanship and maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety procedures.
- Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox meetings.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, consultants, and clients to resolve site issues.
- Monitor the delivery and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare daily site progress reports and report project status to management.
- Ensure good housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Assist in project handover and rectification works.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out or construction projects.
- Experience supervising renovation and interior finishing works.
- Able to read and interpret construction and interior design drawings.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence (preferred).
- Relevant safety certifications will be an advantage.
