Cook (Teochew Cuisine) – Full-Time

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cook to manage the daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook Teochew braised dishes, Cantonese stir-fries and other menu items according to recipes and company standards.
  • Prepare ingredients, including cleaning, cutting, portioning and marinating.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and automated cooking systems safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, portion size and presentation to ensure consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations.
  • Perform stock preparation and support inventory management.
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with workplace safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Experience in Chinese cuisine; experience in Teochew or Chaoshan cuisine will be an advantage.
  • Possess a valid Singapore Food Handler Certificate.
  • Familiar with kitchen equipment and food preparation procedures.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
