Counseling Psychologist
About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center's Mental Health Services in El Paso, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation HIGHLY PREFERRED: Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Psychologist from a State, the District of Columbia, or United States territory.
Conduct evaluations of Soldiers, family members, retirees, and eligible Federal civilian employees referred for consultation.
Prepare written findings and diagnoses in a detailed, clear, and concise manner.
Prepare treatment plans that incorporate psychological theory and counseling techniques, and goals needed to restore patients to their normal work and social environment.
Provide strategic interventions, motivational interviewing techniques and crisis counseling for patients and families.
Document case findings, diagnoses, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Apply complex behavioral health principles to conduct comprehensive behavioral health evaluations.
