What you'll be doing
Join CIBC’s Business Banking Product Analysis and Insight team, where a diverse group of analytics professionals come together to support multiple areas across the bank. As a Data Analytics Associate, you’ll contribute to data transformation and analytics projects that impact products such as lending, mortgages, wealth management, Wood Gundy, and private banking. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver actionable insights. This role is highly collaborative, involving cross-functional efforts with peers, directors, and independent business units. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced leaders. How you'll succeed
Data Analytics & Transformation – Analyze and transform data to support business objectives across lending, mortgages, wealth management, and commercial banking.
Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Reporting & Presentation – Export data and insights into Excel and PowerPoint, creating clear and impactful presentations for internal audiences.
Collaboration & Teamwork – Work closely with peers, directors, and independent business units, contributing to a culture of shared success.
Continuous Learning – Gain exposure to different coding styles and data sets, and learn directly from hands-on leaders who mentor and support your growth.
Who you are
You’re a strong communicator. You can clearly articulate complex ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You have relevant technical skills. You bring proficiency in SQL, Excel, and MS Office, with experience in exporting and presenting data. Python or other coding experience, SaaS tools, and business intelligence reporting are assets.
You’re detail-oriented. You notice patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities within large datasets, ensuring accuracy and quality in your work.
You thrive in collaborative environments. You enjoy working as part of a team and networking across different groups within the bank.
You’re self-managed and adaptable. You take initiative, manage your own tasks, and embrace new challenges with flexibility.
