What you will be doing:

  • Working on several orders at once

  • Constantly keeping the station clean and sanitized

  • Making sure their station is properly stocked with food and equipment

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of output from station

  • Creating food of the highest quality and to the standards.

  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback

  • Under the general guidance of Head Chef and within the limits of established policies and procedures, assists in preparation of food and operation of the kitchen department

The successful candidate will have:

  • A commercial cookery qualification with previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment for at least 2 years in the hospitality industry.

  • Experience providing quality food and presentation of all dishes

  • Knowledge of food safety policies and procedures

  • Relevant food preparation and service knowledge

  • The ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills
