Job Summary

You will prepare daily food items to meet company quality standards, ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, coordinate tasks with team members, supervise junior kitchen staff as needed, and maintain high standards in food production and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily food items and complete assigned duties to meet company quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with all legally required hygiene and safety practices in the kitchen and related areas
  • Maintain high cleanliness and safety standards in food preparation and storage areas
  • Coordinate daily tasks effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in supervising line cooks or commis to support kitchen workflow
  • Estimate daily production needs and inspect raw and cooked food products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Produce, prepare, and present food items consistently at the highest quality levels
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, food quality, operational efficiency, and food costs continuously
  • Apply knowledge of standard procedures and policies related to food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation
  • Maintain full awareness of menu items, including recipes, production methods, and presentation standards
  • Follow proper food preservation standards to handle all food products at correct temperatures
  • Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage of food items within the kitchen section
