DENTAL ASSISTANT

About the Position: As a Dental Assistant, you will support a dental specialist providing assistance in one or more phases of complex/difficult restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgical, endodontic, orthodontic, or periodontal treatment. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Perform inter-oral procedures as directed by dentist.

Take preliminary impressions for study models, remove sutures, place and remove rubber dams, perio-packs, matrix bands, and wedges.

Operate dental X-ray equipment to take intra and extra-oral radiographs.

Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on X-ray equipment and materials.

Receive and schedule patients for treatment.

Sterilize instruments, materials, equipment, and prepare surgical trays.

Take and record blood pressure and pulse of oral surgery patients before and after treatment.

Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and students.
